Fluid Housing

With the rapid development of technology, transportation has become easy and fast. Residents’ short-term housing needs have increased. However, architecture in different contexts can affect people’s lives so that they can’t focus on what they are doing in the moment.

This project expresses that the house will be guided by the daily life of human beings and their surroundings, such as human society, the environment and technology. Fluid Housing means that house layout is defined as a ‘fluid’ shape that is changed by different containers (Humans’ Life). It mainly focuses on building adaptability and flexibility.

It aims to provide an affordable and suitable space for different groups of families who will iterate their space over 5, 10 and 15 years. In addition, this project also considers different scenarios that would affect living in terms of rent and collaboration.

This project is located in Brunswick West. It allows residents to Co-housing in Melbourne Middle Ring Suburb and allows them to improve their quality of life and convergence of life.
