Specialisations

Bachelor of Design

Specialisations are a short sequence of subjects which do not form a part of an existing major that focus particular themes relevant across multiple disciplines.

The subjects in a specialisation are offered at third year level, but some may have prerequsites from first and second year. Some specialisations may support a research pathway, some may lead to accreditation with industry bodies or expand your employment opportunities, and some might open up new areas of interest to explore at Masters level.

If there is a subject you're interested in, but you don't want to complete the whole specialisation, you can take individual subjects as electives for your course.

Please be aware that some specialisation subjects have a quota, which is a maximum number of students able to enrol. If the specialisation you're interested in has a quota, enrol early so you don't miss out. If the subject is already full, keep trying. Places can become available as other students unenrol from the subject.
