Faculty of Architecture Building and Planning (FABP) offer internships for Master of Construction Management students including self-sourced internships allowing you to organise an internship independently; and University-sourced internships through industry connections. Internships are completed through ABPL90434 Construction Management Internship, allowing you to integrate your theoretical knowledge with a professional industry experience.

Opportunities within ABPL90434 Construction Management Internship can be undertaken on a part-time or full-time basis for a duration of 4–16 weeks.
Students enrolled in this subject will complete a 20 day paid or unpaid internship with an external organisation related to the chosen specialisation within the Master of Construction Management. The internship should draw on specific discipline skills associated with the chosen specialisation to develop industry-relevant skills and knowledge related to the student’s chosen career direction.
Students will be supervised by the Principal Subject Coordinator and the Coordinators of each specialisation in collaboration with a designated supervisor at the host organisation. They will work across various tasks relevant to the organisation's objectives and develop and complete a specific project as approved by the host organisation and the Subject Coordination Team. Relevant host organisations include, but are not limited to: quantity surveying firms, project management firms, contractors, trade specialists, government departments, NGOs and specialised consultancies.
