Topography House Elevating the Landscape
"The Topology House" reinvigorates the prominent local topography and brings the landscape back into the forefront of multi residential housing discourse.
The design ethos of the project is informed by the integration of the surrounding landscape, from a macro, site-specific perspective down to the micro scale of residential living. Elevated on multi-height pilottis, the structure facilitates the use of sliding walls, retaining the ground floor thoroughfare while maintaining a seamless transition between the interior and exterior landscape.
By consolidating the landscape within central green courtyards, the landscape permeates through the apartment buildings and offers opportunities for fostering localised connections between the residents and the broader neighbourhood community.
Moreover, a series of modular units, organized around fixed vertical cores contain the wet areas, empowering the residents to autonomously customize their spaces according to their individual needs and shared programmatic preferences with neighbours.
