Ambiversion
My design explores how architecture can provide spaces for both extroverted and introverted users, providing a spectrum of spaces which are adaptable both spatially and socially. This aims to give occupants refuge and feelings of safety within their household, while also providing spaces for extroversion with neighbors and adaptable entertaining areas. I wish to play with thresholds in the creation and separation of these spaces, further exploring permeability and its role in forming these spaces. This should also be echoed in the apartment to site interface, as well as the site itself, providing moments which enable introversion and extroversion alike.
