Common Ground

Common Ground is a socially sustainable co-housing development, focussed on meeting the needs of vulnerable, often overlooked, members of the community, while still providing autonomy for residents. Aimed specifically at housing single parents, older single women, and immigrants, Common Ground recognises that each resident has a specific set of needs, and these needs can be best met within a community sharing model.

Based on the idea that security breeds altruism, Common Ground provides affordable long-term housing, enabling residents to give back to important social causes both within the local and international community, because they have the means and security, socially and financially, to share.

Common Ground provides permanent housing for ex-detainees as well as meals and accommodation for the unhoused population through a lens of empathy from residents.

Common Ground’s goal is affordable housing that is compatible with residents lifestyles, and a community that is both nurturing and involved.
