• Mathematical knowledge equivalent to a study score of at least 25 in VCE Mathematical Methods Units 3 and 4 is required to undertake this major.
• Students in this major require 25 points of first-year maths. This course plan reflects entry with a study score of at least 25 in VCE Mathematical Methods 3/4. Students with a study score of at least 25 in VCE Specialist Mathematics 3/4 (or equivalent) are not required to complete Calculus 1 and will instead enrol in Calculus 2. Students with a study score of 30 or more in VCE Specialist Mathematics 3/4 (or equivalent) may not enrol in Calculus 1 for credit.
