Japanese Room, Level 4
Utilising Genoa (Italy) and Porto (Portugal) as primary case studies, this work investigates how built heritage precincts (and the policies surrounding them) affect shrinking cities socially, economically and spatially. What role do they play in exacerbating or mitigating population loss and how can this knowledge best be used to promote urban resilience?
