B-DES Peer Mentoring Morning Tea & Amazing Race

Date: Friday 21st of July 2017

Time: 10:30am to 12:30pm

Location: Brian Lewis Atrium, Level 1, Melbourne School of Design Bldg (133), Parkville Campus

After meeting your Mentor and enjoying morning tea, you will be broken up into teams to participate in an Amazing Race themed activity with fellow students to get to know one another in a relaxed and fun environment.

Your Mentor will act as the team leader throughout the activity.  You will need to work with your team mates to find the answers to a series of questions and will need to visit set landmarks around campus.  Please ensure that you wear comfortable clothing and footwear for the outdoors!

Who can attend?
The event is open to all Bachelor of Design students commencing their degree in Semester 2, 2017 who have registered to participate in the B-DES Peer Mentoring program..

How much does it cost?
The best thing about this is it is FREE!

How do I register?
If you wish to take part, please register by 5pm Tuesday July 18th, 2017.

Throughout the semester

Your peer mentor will be in touch with you to meet up on campus, with free coffee vouchers provided for this purpose. During your coffee catch-ups, you might want to talk to your peer mentor about his or her experience of first year, ask how to find classrooms or the best food or study spots on campus, how to use Turnitin or the LMS to submit assignments, or whatever questions you might have about life as a student.
