Troubleshooting

  • MSD1 and MSD2
    • Ensure documents are properly sized as A4 or A3. Custom sizing will pause entire print queue.
    • Out of paper: See Guru. If after hours do not print, if too late apply for refund.
    • Out of toner: See Guru. If after hours do not print, if too late apply for refund.
    • Waste tray full: See Guru. If after hours do not print, if too late apply for refund.
  • PLOTTER 1, 2 and 3
    • Do not select A2 from menu, allow printer to automatically select paper size.
    • Out of paper: See Guru. If after hours do not print, if too late apply for refund.
    • Out of toner: See Guru. If after hours do not print, if too late apply for refund.
    • Waste tray full: See Guru. If after hours do not print, if too late apply for refund.
  • Further troubleshooting

    The best way to request help is through the self-service portal. However the fastest will always be visiting the Guru or other Fabrication Workshop staff in G21. Please be aware that these staff members will usually be in the middle of a task and may not be able to help immediately. However, they will help you as soon as they are able.

  • How to print to PDF in Windows
    1. Open a file in a Windows application.
    2. Choose File > Print.
    3. Choose Adobe PDF as the printer in the Print dialog box.
      • Select ‘Standard’ or ‘High Quality Print’.
      • Select the correct paper size: A4, A3, A2, A1 or A0.
    4. Click Print.
    5. Click OK, name the PDF file, and save it in a desired location.
  • How to reduce PDF size in Adobe Acrobat (quick)
    1. Open a single PDF.
    2. Choose File > Save As Other > Reduced Size PDF.
    3. Select the version compatibility that you need.
    4. Click Save.
