What is a Bandsaw?
A bandsaw is a power tool which uses a blade consisting of a continuous band of metal with teeth along one edge to cut various workpieces. Bandsawing produces uniform cutting action as a result of an evenly distributed tooth load and are used primarily to cut timber, acrylics and other similar materials They are particularly useful for cutting irregular or curved shapes, but are capable of making straight cuts.
Why use a Bandsaw?
The Bandsaw is used for cutting various thicknesses (up to 400mm thick) and varieties of materials, and can be used to cut irregular, nonlinear geometries.
