Description: The MSD Pre Semester Program will provide you with critical knowledge about services, resources and skills for studying in the MSD and information on services and support available across the University. The program aims to facilitate networks and friendships within your cohort and within the MSD.

The morning will commence with students collecting their name tags and lunch vouchers and chatting to other students over coffee and pastries.  The Director of the MSD Prof Alan Pert will provide new students with an overview of the MSD.

From 11am-1pm, students will be divided into groups with an experienced student acting as a Group Leader to participate in an Amazing Race themed activity with fellow students to get to know one another in a relaxed and fun environment.

There will be prizes for the groups that come in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!

You will need to work with your team mates to find the answers to a series of questions and will need to visit set landmarks around campus.  Please ensure that you wear comfortable clothing and footwear for the outdoors!

After the Amazing Race activity, students will receive lunch.  Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options will be provided.

In the afternoon, students will have the opportunity to meet and work on a fun project with a group of new students from across MSD disciplines on an interdisciplinary project.  Following the group project, students will hear about exciting travel opportunities as well as student clubs associated with the Faculty.

Further information about the program schedule will be provided after registration via email to registered students.
